ARPM announces innovation symposium on april 18

The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers will hold the first Innovation Symposium April 18, at Ace Products and Consulting L.L.C.

The day-long event will include keynotes, presentations, technology and networking roundtables, according to an ARPM news release.

ARPM said the symposium was created as an opportunity to provide answers to some of the challenges rubber companies face and unite expertise from across the industry. The speakers lineup includes industry experts from Ace, Sigma, Rep, 180 Skills, Endurica L.L.C., University of Akron, Machinery and Planning Inc. and LabsCubed.

The 2019 ARPM State of the Rubber Industry Report found that 98 percent of rubber companies experience major challenges in workforce development, including finding talent, training their workforce and retaining employees. Manufacturers also reported challenges in keeping up with technology, continuous improvement efforts and finances.
